Stop motion animation
Persistance of vision is an incorrect theory usually taught in schools to explain how the human eye captures a sequence of images to make a video , this theory was proved incorrect in 1912 due to no scientific evidence supporting the theory, but is still taught in many schools, it is now believed to be an unrelated phenomena known as the beta movement where the brain believes when there is a movement between a group of still images shown in quick succession.
